She will accompany the Congressman throughout the day to get a behind-the-scenes look at the House of Representatives. Ally is interested in policy-making and participates in a variety of organizations at school.

“I look forward to meeting Ally and hearing about her foster care experience as well as her interests and passions,” said Rep. Cárdenas. “I’m sure there’s a lot I can learn from Ally, and hopefully she’ll learn a little about Congress while she’s here as well. With more than 400,000 youth in the foster care system, we need to make sure every child has a safe, supportive experience. I’m glad to participate in this event to highlight the importance of our foster youth and the foster youth system.”
