LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Metrolink is offering special service to the Tournament of Roses Parade on both the Antelope Valley and San Bernardino Lines on New Year’s Day. Just take the train to Los Angeles Union Station and transfer for free with a valid Metrolink ticket onto the Metro Gold Line. The Gold Line will take you right to the parade route.

NEW YEAR’S DAY Tuesday January 1, 2008: Imagine enjoying the spectacular Tournament of Roses Parade live in Pasadena without the hassle of actually driving to or parking in Pasadena. All you have to do is get on board a Metrolink train.

* Service on two lines:

o San Bernardino Line – A modified Sunday schedule will operate. Train 349 replaces train 351 and operates 1 hour 15 minutes earlier to accommodate Rose Parade passengers.

o Antelope Valley Line – A modified Sunday schedule will operate. Train 258 replaces train 260 and operates 35″ earlier to accommodate Rose Parade passengers. In the afternoon train 273 replaces train 265.

Metrolink is Southern California’s regional commuter rail service and is in its 15th year of operations.
