City of Paramount Mayor’s Statement on AQMD Suspending Aerocraft’s chromium 6 Operations
PARAMOUNT, Calif. /California Newswire/ -- This past week, The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) announced that the sensors near Aerocraft in the City of Paramount have again exceeded levels for hexavalent chromium agreed to in a prior abatement order between SCAQMD and Aerocraft Heat Treating. As a result, SCAQMD has ordered Aerocraft to suspend certain operations.
City of Paramount Continues Aggressive Response to SCAQMD Air Quality Findings
PARAMOUNT, Calif. /California Newswire/ -- On January 24, the Paramount City Council unanimously voted to extend the moratorium on all metal-related businesses within the City for an additional six months.
The original moratorium was established on December 13, 2016 to prohibit businesses that manufacture or process metal from opening or expanding within the City.
