John Scott GLOS ANGELES, Calif., Nov. 24, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — In a new publishing experiment, eNewsChannels is now serializing the humorous autobiographical novel called “Secret Sex” as it is being written by John Scott G (www.johnscottg.com). Mr. G, who regularly writes for the Music Industry Newswire and for clients of his own firm, G-Man Marketing, calls it “a book alive online” and chapters will appear every Sunday until the book is completed.

“Having the pressure of finishing one chapter a week is not unusual,” G states, “because that is often the situation when running a public relations or advertising campaign, something with which I am familiar.” Mr. G has been creative director, copywriter, or music producer of work for such firms as Verizon Wireless, Goodrich, General Dynamics, Children’s Hospital, the Auto Club, and many other organizations.

“What is interesting about the weekly chapter deadline,” G notes, “is that there’s no going back once each part of the story is published. Being on eNewsChannels is not like being on a blog, where words, phrases, sentences, or entire posts can be changed or even deleted. When a chapter launches each Sunday, it’s part of a distribution machine that’s very cool, but you have to realize that whatever you do is out there for the world to see, no matter what.”

Asked how many chapters are planned for “Secret Sex,” G referred back to an earlier work: “When I wrote a detective novel called ‘One Bang-Up Job’ [Berkeley Books, written under the pen name Gerald Laurence] that book had approximately 85,000 words. We’re keeping the ‘Secret Sex’ chapters to around 1,500 words each, about the length of a nice Sunday newspaper editorial column. So, 50 chapters would come to 75,000 words or so. That’s a nice book length, don’t you think?” G asked.

“Secret Sex” deals with growing up next to the country’s nuclear bomb-making factory, surviving a disease that usually only affects horses, and various sexual escapades, mostly initiated by women. “That’s been my luck in life, both good and bad,” G stated.

When it was pointed out to G that several Charles Dickens novels, including “A Tale of Two Cities” and “Great Expectations,” appeared in serialized form, he said, “Wow, being mentioned alongside Dickens is complimentary and appalling at the same time. The man was a great writer, but I’ve got one big advantage over Charles Dickens: no one is ever going to force high school students to read my book.”
