LOS ANGELES, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Fostering UNITY will present their 4th annual Winter Wonderland event at the organization’s headquarters in Acton, CA on Saturday, December 10 from 4-8pm. This free event sold out in less than one week! Families who pre-registered on Eventbrite will bring hundreds of children in foster care to the 10-acre Heritage House in Acton, California to experience a dazzling drive-through display of colorful lights, festive music, beautiful decorations, an abundance of snow, a choir of carolers, family-friendly activities, and of course – Santa and his elves. The evening is pure magic!
Guests will drive through Winter Wonderland at their scheduled time, stopping at exciting stations, each with its own theme or activity. The winning holiday artwork from the art contest will be shared for all to enjoy. An ice skating rink will be set up with skaters scheduled to showcase their talents. Thirty tons of snow is being delivered to dazzle and delight participants. Before leaving, each child will receive a thoughtful age-appropriate gift, beautifully wrapped by a team of volunteers as well as the childrens’ book “Once Upon a Child”. Teens over 14+ will receive a gift card. The event was designed to bring joy and a memorable experience during a time that can sometimes be sad or confusing for childen in care.
Winter Wonderland is generously supported by donations from individuals and corporations such as Baby2Baby, Toys for Tots, and SoCal Gas. In light of Giving Tuesday tomorrow, the event still needs the following:
- $25+ gift cards for children over 14
- New, unwrapped gifts for children 13 and younger (an Amazon Wish List has been set up)
- Food & beverage gift cards for families and volunteers
- Sealed beverages for families and volunteers
- Volunteers on Saturday, December 10 from 2pm to 10pm
