SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Debra Harris to a judgeship in the San Bernardino County Superior Court. Harris, 56, of Victorville, has worked for the San Bernardino Public Defender’s Office where she has served as a chief deputy public defender since 2009 and previously as a supervising deputy and deputy public defender from 1994 until 2009.
She earned a Juris Doctorate degree and a Bachelor of Science in Law degree from Western State College of Law. Harris fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Bert Swift. Harris is a Republican.
The compensation for this position is $178,789.
