COMPTON, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Congresswoman Janice Hahn announced her endorsement of Assemblymember Isadore Hall’s campaign today. Hall is running for reelection in California’s newly created 64th Assembly District. Hall is a former two-term President of the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees. He was elected to the Compton City Council in 2003 where he served in various leadership positions including Mayor pro Tempore.

“Throughout his career, as a local School Board Member, City Councilman, Mayor Pro-Tem, and now as a State Assemblyman, Isadore Hall has been a dedicated, compassionate, and steadfast champion for the people he’s represented,” said Congresswoman Janice Hahn. “In these difficult times of tough budget cuts and a sluggish economy, California needs his leadership, his knowledge, and his creativity, when it comes to developing and crafting legislation that will help fix our shattered education system and create more good paying, middle class jobs. That’s why I’m pleased to endorse his re-election campaign to the State Assembly.”

Hall was elected to the California State Assembly in 2008 and served as Assistant Speaker pro Tempore during his first term. He currently serves as a member of the Appropriations, Elections and Redistricting and Human Services Committees. He chairs the Assembly Committee on Government Organization.

The youngest of six children, Hall was born and raised in the City of Compton.
