SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Calif. Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount) has announced his appointment of Abigail Medina of San Bernardino to the Dental Board of California.

Medina also serves as a board member of the San Bernardino Unified School District.

The Dental Board licenses and regulates dentists, registered dental assistants, and registered dental hygienists. It also has authority to discipline its licensees for unprofessional conduct, incompetence, and gross negligence.

Medina, 41, is a Democrat. She fills a position reserved for a member of the public not affiliated with the dental profession. The term is four years. Compensation is $100 per diem and expenses.
