SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GoED) Director Joel Ayala today issued a statement after the U.S. Department of Commerce released export figures for California which show that the state set an exports record for the month of October. According to the figures, California’s exported goods add up to $12.91 billion for the month of October and this represents a16.5 percent increase over last year’s figures for the same month.

The Governor’s recent trade mission activities; the contributions of California’s burgeoning green economy; and the assistance we seek to provide to entities that want to export are part of a larger plan to move California forward. Thanks to the growing export of California goods, known and sought after because of their innovation and efficiency, the state is making strong economic headway.”
