SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments: First, David Connett, 56, of Anaheim Hills, has been appointed to the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
Connett has served as associate dean of clinical services at the Western University of Health Sciences since 2007 and vice chairman at the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program since 2000. From 2003 to 2007, he was vice president and chief medical officer at Garden City Hospital and medical director at Exempla Healthcare. Connett served as family medicine program director and medical director at HealthONE from 1992 to 2003 and was chief of aerospace medicine for the U.S. Air Force from 1985 to 1991. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at the Western University of Health Sciences. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Connett is a Republican.
Michael Feinstein, 63, of Coronado, has been appointed to the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. Feinstein has served as a physician at Encompass Medical Group since 2000 and was a physician at Sharp Reese Staly Medical Group from 1998 to 2000. He was a physician at Family Practice Associates of San Diego from 1978 to 1998 and at Oakdale Family Practice from 1976 to 1977. Feinstein earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Feinstein is a Democrat.
Jane Xenos, 53, of Newport Beach, has been appointed to the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. Xenos has operated her own practice since 1991. She earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at the Western University of Health Sciences. Xenos is board certified in both neuromuscular medicine/osteopathic manual medicine and family practice. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Xenos is a Democrat.
Joseph Zammuto, 56, of Woodside, has been appointed to the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. Zammuto has been a partner and physician at Center Medical Group Inc. since 1997 and a physician at Medpartners-Mullikin Medical Group from 1995 to 1997. He was a physician and partner at Zammuto and Zinni Medical Inc. from 1991 to 1995, owner of Joseph A. Zammuto, D.O. from 1988 to 1991 and a physician at Joseph A. Zammuto, D.O. from 1984 to 1988. Zammuto earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. William McGinnis, 65, of Chico, has been appointed to the California Educational Facilities Authority. McGinnis has served as a trustee for the Butte-Glenn Community College District since 1992. He served in multiple positions at California State University, Chico from 1985 to 2003, including assistant vice president for strategic planning, accountability and real property procurement, lecturer in the political science department and director, acting director and associate director for the Facilities Management and Services Department. McGinnis served as city administrator for the City of Marysville from 1984 to 1985 and as city manager for Crescent City from 1979 to 1984. He was chief administrative officer for Curry County, Oregon from 1978 to 1979, personnel director for the City of Chico from 1975 to 1978 and a legislative analyst for the California State Employees Association from 1973 to 1975. McGinnis was a personnel officer for the City of Pensacola, Florida from 1970 to 1973 and an account executive for Conway Brothers from 1969 to 1970. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. McGinnis is a Republican.
