SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. on Wednesday announced the following appointments: First, Christopher Reardon, 51, of Modesto, has been appointed chief deputy director at the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Reardon has served in multiple positions at the California Department of Pesticide Regulation since 2003, including chief deputy director and director of legislation. He served as executive director at the Manufacturers Council of the Central Valley from 1996 to 2002. Reardon was chief of staff for Assemblymember Sal Cannella from 1994 to 1996. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $126,588. Reardon is a Democrat.

Jill Larson, 57, of Loomis, has been appointed to the California State Rehabilitation Council. Larson has held multiple positions at the California Department of Education since 2001, including secondary transition specialist, education research and evaluation consultant and education programs consultant. She was a teacher and school-to-career coordinator at the California School for the Deaf from 1986 to 2001 and was a teacher in the Little Lake City School District from 1984 to 1986. She served as a teacher and department chair in the Los Angeles Unified School District from 1979 to 1984. Larson earned a Master of Science degree in school counseling from the University of La Verne and a Master of Arts degree in deaf education from California State University, Northridge. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Larson is a Democrat.

Andrew Mudryk, 48, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council. Mudryk has served as deputy director at Disability Rights California since 2006. He was the director of litigation and advocacy at the Arizona Center for Disability Law from 2003 to 2006. Mudryk was owner of the Law Offices of Andrew M. Mudryk from 1998 to 2002. He was an executive legal editor and program attorney at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education at the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1998. Mudryk was a senior associate attorney at Ravid and Associates from 1991 to 1995 and an attorney at Winshall Radner and Curhan from 1990 to 1991. Mudryk earned a Juris Doctorate degree from George Washington University Law School. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Mudryk is a Democrat.
