SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Calif. Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. on Tuesday issued a proclamation declaring a special election for the 80th Assembly District of the State of California on July 30, 2013. The primary for this special election will be held on May 21, 2013.

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 30th day of July, 2013, within the 80th Assembly District of the State to fill the vacancy of the office of Assembly Member from that district resulting from the resignation of Assembly Member Ben Hueso.
