First, Thomas Davis, 56, of Sherman Oaks, has been appointed to the California Film Commission. Davis is third international vice president of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Executive Board, where he has been a member since 2001. He has been business manager at the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 80 since 1998, where he has held several positions since 1977, including vice president, chief organizer and executive board member. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Davis is a Democrat.
Michael Nyman, 50, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Film Commission. Nyman has been chairman and chief executive officer of PMK*BNC since 2010. He founded Bragman Nyman Cafarelli in 1990, where he was chairman and chief executive officer from 2002 to 2009. Nyman is a member of the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communications Board of Councilors, World Presidents Organization Angeleno Chapter Board, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Board of Governors and the Brentwood School Board of Trustees and was a member of the Young Presidents Organization Board from 1999 to 2011.
