“I’m delighted to be able to appoint someone with Polly Low’s knowledge, experience and energy to the California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs,” Rendon said. “Asian and Pacific Islander communities are the fastest growing ethnic populations in California and in the nation, and the Commission does important work in helping the Legislature and other officials recognize the communities’ needs, issues and concerns. Polly Low will provide an important and effective voice in that effort.”
“I am very honored to serve as Speaker Anthony Rendon’s appointee to the Asian Pacific Islander Affairs Commission,” Low said. “I look forward to serving in this capacity to help address the multi-faceted issues that impact the diverse API community and more importantly help improve the quality of life for this community.”
The Commission advises the Legislature, Governor, state agencies, departments and commissions on issues related to the social and economic development and the rights and interests of Asian Pacific Islander communities.
