Clark Ducart, 53, of Crescent City, has been appointed warden at Pelican Bay State Prison, where he has been acting warden since 2014 and has served in several positions since 1989, including chief deputy warden, correctional administrator, correctional captain, staff services manager, correctional lieutenant, sergeant and officer. He was a correctional officer at San Quentin State Prison from 1986 to 1989. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $138,228. Ducart is a Republican.
Scott Frauenheim, 45, of Hanford, has been appointed warden at Pleasant Valley State Prison, where he has served as acting warden since 2013. Frauenheim held multiple positions at Avenal State Prison from 2009 to 2013, including chief deputy warden and correctional administrator. He was facility captain at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility from 2007 to 2009 and at Kern Valley State Prison from 2006 to 2007. Frauenheim held multiple positions at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility from 2001 to 2006, including correctional counselor supervisor and correctional counselor specialist. He held multiple positions at Pleasant Valley State Prison from 1997 to 2001, including correctional counselor and correctional officer. He served as an assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Central District Court of California Criminal Appeals Section from 2002 to 2006 and was a law clerk for the Honorable David F.
