FLAT ROCK, N.C., Jan. 8, 2016 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Four Seasons Compassion for Life, a non-profit, end-of-life and palliative care provider in western North Carolina, announces new volunteer orientation and patient care training opportunities during the month of January.

The free sessions are open to individuals who are interested in learning more about Four Seasons and its volunteer programs.

The new volunteer orientation is Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 from 1-4:40 p.m.

The patient care training will be offered in three separate sessions:
* Session 1: Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1 – 4:30 p.m.
* Session 2: Monday, Jan. 25, 1 – 4:30 p.m.
* Session 3: Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1 – 4:30 p.m.

Attendance at orientation and patient care training does not require a commitment to become a Four Seasons volunteer. However, volunteerism will be encouraged.

“From assisting in administrative capacities, to providing support to patients and families, to baking homemade refreshments for events or maintaining the gardens at Elizabeth House, there are a variety of different ways to get involved and give back to the community,” says Sheri Cagle, volunteer coordinator.

Four Seasons was founded more than thirty five years ago by volunteers and remains a testament to the power of volunteerism to drive positive, needed change, she says.

“Four Seasons could not meet the needs of the community without the invaluable services provided by its volunteers,” says Cagle.

Four Seasons Compassion for Life hosts new volunteer orientation and patient care training sessions at its administrative offices, 571 South Allen Rd. For more information or to register, please contact Sheri Cagle, volunteer coordinator, SCagle@FourSeasonsCFL.org, (828) 692-6178.
