PALO ALTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Virtual Law Partners LLP (VLP) has announced that Charulata Pagar, Adam Lin, Eda Tan, and Byron Rodriguez have joined the firm. “VLP is continuing to expand with top quality attorneys. Charulata Pagar helps clients structure and conduct advertising, marketing, and promotions programs in accordance with federal and state law. Previously, she was government counsel at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, in house counsel at Sears, Roebuck and Co., and a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. She received her JD from the University of Chicago Law School in 1992, and her BSFS from Georgetown University in 1989.

Adam Lin, formerly an attorney in the China/Taiwan Practice Group of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, focuses his practice on representing companies and investors based in Silicon Valley and overseas that have affiliations with Asia. Adam is a native speaker of and reads and writes Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. Adam is active in Asian American technology associations, including the Taiwanese American Industrial Technology Association, where he serves as a board advisor, and Monte Jade Science and Technology Association, where he served as a trip advisor. Adam received his JD (magna cum laude) from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, a M.S. from Stanford University, and a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley. Adam will be a member of the Asia Practice Group of VLP.

Eda Tan, who was formerly a corporate partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP, brings to VLP over 15 years legal experience. At Morrison & Foerster, her practice focused on securities, M&A and general corporate matters. Eda received her Bachelor of Law degree from the National University of Singapore, and her Master of Law degree from University of Cambridge (U.K.), where she graduated with first class honors.

Byron Rodriguez, formerly with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, represents borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions with a focus on tax-advantaged debt and equity capital structures. His real estate developer clients combine tax-exempt bond, low income housing tax credit and new market tax credit financing with conventional financing sources for a variety of project types. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington and received his JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
