COSTA MESA, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Emilio N. Francisco, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of private equity firm PDC Capital Group, today announced that PDC is raising $45 million in EB-5 immigrant investor funds to assist biodegradable organic chemical products firm Clear Currents, Inc.
The Dana Point, Calif.-based green technology company, which makes environmentally-safe and nontoxic agricultural products and industrial cleaners, will use the funds to assist with expanding its operations and entering foreign markets including the European Union, the Middle East, Africa and Brazil.
Populations worldwide are grappling with drought, declining food production, contaminated water supplies and overworked soil. At the forefront of the global green revolution, Clear Currents' range of SeaStar and EcoStar products deliver innovative natural solutions that create healthier crops, improve food quality, and repair soil damaged by toxic chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Clear Currents recently completed extensive multi-year testing of several innovative products in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture in China. The company has gained traction within several provinces where this testing was performed, generating contingent order commitments in the $200M range. Poised for growth, the company is preparing for expansion and has elected to pursue registration as a public company.
Emilio N. Francisco, CEO of PDC Capital Group, said, "We are very pleased with this opportunity to assist Clear Currents with their public company ambitions and expect a straightforward process."
"We are also gaining significant traction with the upcoming deployment of our highly effective cleaning products here in the U.S. and look forward to expanding our reach into foreign markets," said Chris Fox, Chief Operating Officer of Clear Currents.
