Major Joseph BernadelBOYTON BEACH, Fla., Jan. 7 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Toussaint L’Ouverture High School for Arts & Social Justice (TLHS) announced today that Major Joseph Bernadel, US Army (Ret.), and the Delray Beach Interfaith Clergy Association are pleased to invite you to remember with the Palm Beach County Haitian community the loss of lives and the great disaster caused by the Earthquake on January 12, 2010 in Haiti.

This tragic event sent shocks to communities throughout the world. Residents of the Palm Beach County and especially from the City of Boynton Beach quickly showed their support by responding generously to the needs of the people of Haiti. Millions of people in Haiti are still recovering from this cataclysmic event.

On January 12, 2011 students of TLHS, will gather at 8:00 a.m. on the Boynton Beach campus to welcome the West Palm Beach Bikers who will make a stop at the school on their way to the cities of Delray Beach and Miami. Media from all over the State have been invited to cover the event. This event is expected to last no more than 30 minutes. The agenda is as follows:

8:00 a.m. Arrival of the WPB Bikers;
Welcoming Remarks by Major Joseph Bernadel US Army (Ret.);
Welcoming Remarks by the Mayor and Vice Major of the City of Boynton Beach;
Song by Toussaint L’Ouverture High School Students;
Presentation of the proceed of the fundraising activity to the bikers;
A Biker’s Acceptance Remarks and transfer of Flag to a Student;
Student will carry Flag to the City Hall at the City of Delray Beach.

Later that same day, the Palm Beach County citizens will meet with the leaders of the Delray Beach Interfaith Clergy Association at the Old School Square in Delray Beach for a moment of silence and song of praise in remembrance of the time (4:53 p.m.) when the quake hit Haiti. The Haitian community counts on your presence to demonstrate support during this memorable event.
