He has served as a member of the Board of Psychology since 2007 and as enforcement division staff counsel at the Department of Corporations since 2005. Previously, Calero was a law clerk for the Law Office of Danny Brace in 2005 and the California State Attorney General’s Office in 2004. Prior to that, he served as a legislative aide for Assemblymember Bill Leonard’s Office from 2000 to 2001. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
