SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments: First, Robert Boneso, 50, of Paso Robles, has been appointed to the 16th District Agricultural Association, Mid-State Fair Board. Boneso has been vice president at Boneso Brothers Construction since 1999. He worked at RP Richards Inc. from 1985 to 1999, where he held a number of positions, including superintendent. Boneso is a member of Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 403 and the Mid-State Fair Heritage Foundation. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Boneso is a Democrat.

Anthony Borjon, 56, of Creston, has been appointed to the 16th District Agricultural Association, Mid-State Fair Board, where he has served since 2001. Borjon has been owner and principal dealer at Golden Hills Auto Center since 1991. He was a manager at Rancho Grande Motors from 1986 to 1991. Borjon is a member of the San Luis Obispo Cattlemen’s Association and the Ranchero Vistadores. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Borjon is a Republican.

Jeanne Dugger, 56, of Paso Robles, has been appointed to the 16th District Agricultural Association, Mid-State Fair Board. Dugger has been a union representative for United Food and Commercial Workers Local 770 since 2004. Dugger served as a trustee for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District from 1992 to 2010. She held multiple positions at Vons Company from 1985 to 2004, including supervisor. She was a board member of the Exchange Club of North County, Paso Robles Little League and Paso Robles Youth Football League. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Dugger is a Democrat.

Robert Lilley, 61, of Atascadero, has been appointed to the 16th District Agricultural Association, Mid-State Fair Board. Lilley held multiple positions at the San Luis Obispo County Department of Agriculture from 1977 to 2010, including agricultural commissioner and sealer of weights and measures. He co-owned Lilac Rain Landscaping from 1975 to 1977. Lilley is a member of the San Luis Obispo County Land Conservancy, Cal Poly Dean’s Advisory Council for Sustainable Agriculture, Cal Poly Alumni Association and the California Agricultural Leadership Alumni Association. He earned a Master of Science degree in agricultural science from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Lilley is a Democrat.

Adrian Andrade, 60, of Santa Maria, has been appointed to the 37th District Agricultural Association, Santa Maria Fair Park. Andrade has been the owner of Adrian S. Andrade and Associates since 1991. He was a partner at Andrade and Belasco from 1982 to 1991 and a staff attorney at California Rural Legal Assistance Inc. from 1976 to 1982. Andrade served as a member of the City of Santa Maria Planning Commission from 1996 to 2003 and 2007 to 2011 and is a member of the California Public Defenders Association. Andrade earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Andrade is a Democrat.

Joseph Gallas, 69, of Santa Maria, has been appointed to the 37th District Agricultural Association, Santa Maria Fair Park, where he has served since 2002. Gallas has been an attorney at Joseph C. Gallas APLC since 1970. He served as a member of the Santa Barbara County Retirement Board from 2000 to 2009 and the Marian Medical Center Board of Trustees from 1983 to 1987. Gallas is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Santa Maria South. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School Los Angeles. Kathleen Marshall, 41, of Santa Ynez, has been appointed to the 37th District Agricultural Association, Santa Maria Fair Park. Marshall has been a senior language apprentice at the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Samala Language Apprentice Program since 2005. She was an administrative assistant for Taranco Insurance Company from 1994 to 2002. Marshall is a board member of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Museum Advisory and the American Indian Education Oversight Committee for the California Department of Education. She has served as a trustee of the Family School Board since 2009. Marshall is an enrolled member of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indian Tribe. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Marshall is a Democrat.

Kevin Merrill, 56, of Santa Maria, has been appointed to the 37th District Agricultural Association, Santa Maria Fair Park. Merrill has been a vineyard manager at Mesa Vineyard Management since 1998. He was a crop manager at Salyer American from 1985 to 1998. He has served as president of the Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau since 2008, where he has been a member since 1982. Merrill was president of the Central Coast Wine Growers’ Association from 2002 to 2008. He is a member of the Santa Barbara County Agriculture Futures Alliance. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Merrill is a Republican.

Gay Callan, 62, of San Andreas, has been appointed to the 39th District Agricultural Association, Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee, where she has served since 1991. Callan has been owner of Chatom Vineyards and Winery since 1978. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Callan is a Republican.

Katherine Campbell, 51, of San Andreas, has been appointed to the 39th District Agricultural Association, Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee, where she has served since 2003. Campbell has been a teacher at the Calaveras Unified School District since 1996. She was a realtor at Howard Little Real Estate from 1989 to 1995. Campbell was Mother Lode bureau chief at The Stockton Record from 1983 to 1989. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Campbell is a Democrat.

Evan Garamendi, 67, of San Andreas, has been appointed to the 39th District Agricultural Association, Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. Garamendi was a teacher at the Calaveras Unified School District from 1969 to 2003. She has served on the Calaveras Unified School District Board of Trustees since 2006. She is a member of the Calaveras County Arts Council Board of Directors and Mokelumne Hill Lion’s Club. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Gloria Grimes, 66, of West Point, has been appointed to the 39th District Agricultural Association, Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. Grimes has been tribal chair of the Calaveras Band of Mi-Wuk Indians since 1990. She was a community health representative for the Mariposa, Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne Health Board Inc. from 1980 to 2007. Grimes is a member of the West Point Mi-Wuk Roundhouse, Mi-Wuk Dance Group and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3322. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
