Governor Edmund G. BrownSACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — On Tuesday, Calif. Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. announced the following appointments: First, Peter Luchetti, 57, of Sausalito, has been appointed to the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank Board of Directors. Luchetti has been founder and managing partner at Table Rock Capital since 2003. He held multiple positions at Bank of America Securities Inc. from 1992 to 2002, including global head of project and structured finance, U.S. head of communications and utilities and U.S. head of corporate finance.

Luchetti held multiple positions at Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association from 1984 to 1992, including head trader of distressed loan trading and global head of derivatives. He was a trader at J. Aron and Company of Goldman Sachs from 1979 to 1984. Luchetti is a member of the Bay Area Council Economic Institute Board of Directors. He earned a Master of Arts degree in economics and mathematics from Duke University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Luchetti is registered decline-to-state.

Jon Alan Baker, 58, of San Diego, has been appointed to the California Architects Board, where he has served since 2005. Baker is a licensed architect and has been partner at BakerNowicki Design Studio LLP since 2011. He was president and chief executive officer at NTD Architecture from 1983 to 2011. Baker is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Baker is a Republican.

Nilza Serrano, 51, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Architects Board. Serrano has been a producer at the Media Shop Inc. since 1999 and an independent business development executive and producer for multiple companies, including General Motors and Ford Motor Company, since 1985. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Serrano is a Democrat.

Anthony A. Batarse Jr., 80, of Oakland, has been appointed to the California New Motor Vehicle Board. Batarse has been chief executive officer and president at Lloyd A. Wise Companies in Oakland since 1972. He is a member of the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Batarse is registered decline-to-state.

Kathryn Ellen Doi, 53, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the California New Motor Vehicle Board. Doi has been a partner at Murphy Austin Adams Schoenfeld LLP since 2008, where she was senior counsel from 2007 to 2008. She was an associate at Greenberg Traurig LLP from 2005 to 2007 and senior counsel at Livingston and Mattesich from 2004 to 2005. Doi served as senior deputy legal affairs secretary in the Office of Governor Gray Davis from 2002 to 2003, was counsel to the secretary at the California Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency from 2000 to 2002 and staff counsel at the California Commission on Judicial Performance from 1994 to 2000. She was an associate at Orrick Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP from 1986 to 1994 and a law clerk at the U.S. Court of International Trade from 1985 to 1986. Doi earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Doi is a Democrat.

Rahim Hassanally, 34, of Fairfield, has been appointed to the California New Motor Vehicle Board. Hassanally has been owner at Momentum Auto Group since 2010 and at Infiniti of Fairfield since 2006. He is secretary for the Toyota Lexus Minority Dealers Association Board of Directors and a member of the National Automotive Dealers Association and the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers Board of Directors. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Hassanally is registered decline-to-state.

Glenn Stevens, 61, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California New Motor Vehicle Board, where he has served since 2000. Stevens has been an attorney in private practice since 1988. He was vice president at Nelson Shelton and Associates from 1995 to 2011, an attorney at the Los Angeles County Alternate Public Defender’s Office from 1986 to 1988 and a deputy district attorney at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office from 1979 to 1986. Stevens earned a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Stevens is a Democrat.
