COMPTON /California Newswire/ -– Assistant Speaker pro Tempore Isadore Hall, III (D – Compton) announced today he will join Compton City Councilmember Dr. Willie Jones, members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and members of the American Basketball Association’s Compton Cobras in distributing over 900 turkeys to Compton residents on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Compton City Hall.
Due to increased demand and an overwhelming response by businesses and residents throughout southern California, this year’s turkey giveaway will be the largest ever, distributing over 900 turkeys to the residents of Compton.
This Thanksgiving tradition, started in 2004 by then Compton City Councilmember Hall and members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has been a widely successful kick-off to the holiday season.
