SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Ann Q. Ameral to a judgeship in the Stanislaus County Superior Court.
Ameral, 55, of Modesto, has served the Stanislaus County Superior Court as a court commissioner since 2007. Previously, she was a sole practitioner from 1982 to 2007 and an attorney for the Modesto Law Clinic from 1980 to 1982. Ameral earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Stanislaus. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David G. Vander Wall. Ameral is a Democrat.
The compensation for this position is $178,789.
