NEW YORK, N.Y. — James Cornman and Stephen Klenert, two well-known executives on the New York technology scene, have joined forces to create a new managed internet services provider (ISP) known as Atlantic Metro Communications. All services previously provided will continue uninterrupted and will benefit from the merged network infrastructure and increased operational support staff.

“We designed Atlantic Metro around the approach of putting the client first and establishing long-term relationships. Our mission is to provide readily available responses to clients’ service needs, high-level technical expertise, and best-of-breed solutions,” said CEO, Stephen Klenert. “What makes us unique in the New York City market is the balanced-value equation we offer our clients – fair pricing, sensible platform of services, and a high level of service quality. The positive response of our financial, service provider and Web 2.0 clients indicates we have a winning formula.”

Atlantic Metro clients benefit from a comprehensive roster of services, easily accessible facilities, experienced technical support, and a firm commitment to client satisfaction. Firms from various sectors such as banking, financial services, bio-tech, pharmaceutical, health care, service providers, or Web 2.0 content providers make up the newly launched company’s current and prospective client list.

Atlantic Metro’s offerings include fully-managed Enterprise Internet Access, Metro Ethernet Transport, Enterprise Co-location, Wholesale IP Bandwidth, Global Content Delivery and Content Acceleration, Wholesale Voice Termination/Origination (Domestic & International), and Managed Load Balancing. Atlantic Metro Communications operates its own redundant and diverse network backbone (AS29838). Moreover, it furnishes reliable, scalable, and cost-effective end-to-end solutions. This includes multiple and diverse fiber optic connections to the major carrier hotels in the NY metro area, such as 25 Broadway (TELEHOUSE), 60 Hudson Street (TelX) 111 Eighth Avenue (TelX), and 32 Avenue of the Americas (THE HUB). Note that all services previously provided by the two partners continue uninterrupted.

Enterprise and carrier customers benefit from the deployment of best-of-breed hardware platforms used to operate the Atlantic Metro regional network, as well as, in their data center facilities in New Jersey and New York City. It employs N+1 redundant Juniper Networks backbone routers and Foundry Networks distribution Ethernet switches. Together, Atlantic Metro is able to deliver top-flight performance and redundancy to ensure customer equipment remains available at all times.

Atlantic Metro’s headquarters are located in lower Manhattan’s northern technology district at 499 Canal Street, two blocks from its privately owned data center at 325 Hudson Street. The area provides domestic and international clients all available upsides associated with lower Manhattan – easy connectivity to all global communications links, quick support response times, and a highly secure core infrastructure.
