LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Metrolink recently announced that as of Saturday September 8, Antelope Valley Metrolink riders can enjoy increased weekend service. Saturday service now includes six round trips beginning with a 6:45 a.m. train from Lancaster to Union Station. The last train to leave Union Station for Lancaster will be at 9:00 p.m.
The completely new Sunday service features three round trips also beginning with the first train that departs Lancaster at 6:45 a.m. The last train of the day from Union Station on the Antelope Valley Line departs at 6:05 p.m. (Full Antelope Valley Line schedules are attached.)
“We are always happy to able to provide new and more frequent service for our Metrolink passengers,” stated Metrolink Board Chair, Ron Roberts. “The Antelope Valley is a vibrant and growing community and we hope that even more people will be encouraged to take the train instead of the freeway.”

Metrolink is Southern California’s regional commuter rail service and is in its 14th year of operations. The Southern California Regional Rail Authority, a joint powers authority made up of an 11-member board representing the transportation commissions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, governs the service.
Metrolink continues to be one of the nation’s fastest growing commuter rail services, operating over seven routes through a six-county 512 route-mile network.
