LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Library Associates Companies (LAC) announced today that Sarah Clark Kavanagh is joining the firm as Vice President, Strategic Consulting. While based in San Francisco, Ms. Kavanagh will be responsible for serving and working with LAC on national accounts and consulting projects.
Ms. Kavanagh brings twelve years of experience in Information Resources strategy and client relationship management to complement LAC’s already strong consulting practice/business. She will further enhance the firm’s holistic approach to advising on technical, financial and end-user aspects of Information Resources management in the current and future marketplace. In addition, Ms. Kavanagh will work closely with LAC’s senior recruiters on executive level assignments in the library, marketing, CRM and knowledge management areas.
“The reasons for the continued growth of our consulting and recruiting practices are clear,” explains Deb Schwarz, CEO of LAC. “Law firms, corporations and government agencies are in the midst of change as information moves from print and other traditional formats to a digital/virtual environment. We provide expertise in helping our clients to manage and leverage internal and external intellectual assets, and in finding the most qualified candidates for recruiting assignments. Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge from the content provider side, and an impressive network of contacts that we know will serve our diverse client base well.”
“I worked with Library Associates for several years while at Thomson-West, and watched them grow into an innovative, forward-thinking organization,” Sarah says. “This is an exciting opportunity to contribute my knowledge and skills to the consulting division. I look forward to partnering with our clients to maximize their opportunities.”
Ms. Kavanagh received her B.S. from Iowa State University and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. She is a member of the California and Iowa Bar Associations.
