Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments: First, Meredith Biasca, 54, of Loleta, has been appointed to the 9th District Agricultural Association, Redwood Acres Fair Board. Biasca has been manager at Don’s Rent-All since 2005. She was manager at the Party Place from 1990 to 2005.
Biasca held multiple positions at Daly’s Department Store from 1974 to 1990, including assistant manager, accountant, and marking room clerk. She is a member of the National Pygmy Goat Association, Sierra Pacific Pygmy Goat Association, American Paint Horse Association and Humboldt Bay Horse Club. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Biasca is a Republican.
Robert Borck, 42, of Eureka, has been appointed to the 9th District Agricultural Association, Redwood Acres Fair Board, where he has served since 2008. Borck has been owner of Eclipse Enterprise since 2010.
