GARLAND, Texas — DaveCo Industries recently received their second supplier award from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. After initially being inducted into Preferred Supplier Program in 2003 at Silver status, Lockheed now recognizes DaveCo as a Gold status Preferred Supplier. Representatives from Lockheed visited DaveCo’s facilities in Garland, TX and presented the award to the entire company. This prestigious award comes on the heels of DaveCo’s AS9100 registration, and the ensuing celebration was intended to commemorate both accomplishments.

The Gold Supplier status requires a quality rating of 100% and on-time delivery of 100% for 24 straight months, and this accomplishment is not easily achieved in this challenging market. DaveCo now has its sights set on the Platinum level, which requires an additional 12 months of 100% quality and delivery ratings.

Accepting the Gold status award for DaveCo was the president of the company Mark Helterbrand. “Our partnership with Lockheed has and will be a big part of our success. They continue to raise the bar on our performance and that is making us a better supplier to them and to our other customers as well,” stated Helterbrand.

DaveCo is well-positioned for significant growth in the aerospace and defense markets in the coming months and years. This business segment has already increased in recent years and is targeted to become a much larger percentage of DaveCo’s revenue base in 2009 and beyond.
