KMC Information SystemsFOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Quandis, Inc., a leading provider of default management technology solutions, and KMC Information Systems, L.C. (KMCIS), a leading provider of software solutions for default law firms, announced that the two companies have been named finalists for Mortgage Technology magazine's annual 'Synergy Award.'

Quandis and KMCIS emerged as contenders as a result of teaming to integrate their respective platforms to help law firms adhere to the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) of 2003. A seamless interface was developed between Quandis' military search service and KMCIS' CaseAware(R) case management system (CMS) to allow users to quickly initiate accurate searches that identify active military personnel.

According to the magazine, the Synergy Award recognizes technology initiatives and alliances that promote integration of software and processes to facilitate automation, efficiency and broad mortgage industry use. The winner will be announced at the 13th annual mortgage technology awards ceremony hosted by SourceMedia at the 99th Mortgage Bankers Association Exposition and Conference held at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Illinois on October 21.

"Being recognized by Mortgage Technology magazine as a finalist for its prestigious Synergy Award is a huge honor," said Scott Stoddard, CEO of Quandis. "There is a pressing need to do everything possible to comply with SCRA; most organizations are challenged to do such. Our two companies have joined forces and worked diligently to develop a one -of-a-kind integration that takes our standalone military search service a significant step further via an interface with CaseAware."

Dan Cannon, COO at KMCIS commented: "Law firms that run manual searches to identify active members of the military incur the risk of steep fines due to invalid or inaccurate searches by processors. Our CaseAware integration with Quandis' SCRA solution mitigates this risk and improves efficiencies in the foreclosure process. The combined solution seamlessly returns Quandis' SCRA bulk search findings directly from the Department of Defense's (DOD) Web site back into our CMS along with an official status report from the DOD. There isn't anyone else in default servicing that has taken such measures to address the SCRA like we have; our employees feel proud and privileged to be considered for this award."
