ATLANTA, Ga., Oct. 21, 2015 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, a retail property, casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, announced today that Chris Wilkerson has joined the firm’s Southeast Risk Management Consulting team in Atlanta.

In prior roles leading client teams and developing markets for global and large regional brokerages, Wilkerson provided board level guidance around complex management liability, transactional and enterprise risk drivers. His experience includes structuring innovative market-leading programs for private equity portfolio companies to global Fortune 50 corporations, as well as helping to guide numerous executive teams through the IPO and M&A risk management processes.

As a consultant for EPIC’s Risk Management practice in the Southeast, Wilkerson will provide client service leadership, including overall strategy, coverage negotiation, and the coordination and management of internal and external resources.

Wilkerson will also focus on relationship management and business development, bringing EPIC’s resources in Executive Risk to clients across the region.

As one of the nation’s fastest growing private insurance brokerage firms, EPIC has been on an aggressive national growth trajectory, successfully competing against the large, institutional brokers with an entrepreneurial, client-focused business model.

“Chris has led teams for one of nation’s largest risk management consulting firms,” said Jeff McCart, EPIC’s Southeast Region President. “He has managed large-scale Executive and Enterprise Risk initiatives and served as a client advocate on securities and employment litigation here in the Southeast. His addition will help EPIC continue to deliver on our core values of client service excellence and advocacy, and we are excited to have Chris join our growing operations here in the Southeast and across the country.”

Wilkerson received a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University. Professionally, he holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations. In addition, he is actively involved in community affairs in the Atlanta area.

“It is very exciting to join a firm committed to overall excellence with the highest standards for client service, a focus on culture, and a model that measures success based on client satisfaction,” Wilkerson said. “I feel thrilled and privileged to be a part of this team and to help EPIC continue its growth across the Southeast region.”
