SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Since its release several days ago, Senator Alex Padilla (D-Pacoima) and the California Highway Patrol’s “Safe Holiday Driving-Anti-Drinking and Driving” public service announcement has been very well received.

In 2010, more than 32,000 people nationwide lost their lives in motor vehicle accidents and 2,715 in California. More than 535 in the state were alcohol related fatalities.
