Brown Jr. announced the following appointments: First, David Chandler, 50, of Palm Desert, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, South. Chandler has been owner of Bel-Air Patrol since 2012 and president and chief executive officer at Coachella Valley Security Inc. and California Security Experts LLC since 2005. He was owner of Watch It Property Management from 1999 to 2006, firearms instructor and consultant at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1996 to 1999 and owner of Desert Security from 1990 to 1996. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Chandler is a Republican.

Gwendolyn Cross, 66, of Moreno Valley, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, South. Cross is founder and has been chief executive officer at California Women 4 Women and the Cross Consulting Group since 2008. She has been an independent political consultant since 1990. Cross served in several positions at the Los Angeles Unified School District from 1965 to 2002. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Cross is a Democrat.

Clifford Blakely, 43, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, North. Blakely has been owner at the Law Office of Clifford Blakely since 2007. He was a deputy public defender at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office from 1996 to 2007. Blakely earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Blakely is a Democrat.

Robert Hessee, 53, of Lincoln, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, North. Hessee has been owner of Hessee and Associates Investigative Services since 2007 and a police officer at the California Exposition and State Fair since 2004. He served as a background investigator at the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department from 2007 to 2008 and as executive protection at Andrews International from 2006 to 2011. Hessee was a sergeant at the Placer County Sheriff’s Department from 1989 to 2002 and deputy sheriff at the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department from 1982 to 1989. Rachel Michelin, 41 of, El Dorado Hills, has been appointed to the California Private Security Disciplinary Review Committee, North. Catherine Carlton, 46, of Menlo Park, has been appointed to the California Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind. Carlton has been a member of the Menlo Park City Council since 2012 and board member of the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired since 2011. She was North America managing director at SearchBank Executive Search from 2003 to 2005 and founder and managing director of the Asia Pacific Australia region at Digital Islands from 1999 to 2001. Carlton has been vice president of the Sharon Heights Homeowners Association since 2006, state chair of the Junior Leagues of California, State Public Affairs Committee since 2003 and chair of the Menlo Charity Horse Show from 2006 to 2011. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from City University London, Sir John Cass Business School. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Carlton is a Republican.

Carmen Delgado, 59, of Carmichael, has been appointed to the California Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind. Delgado served as a consultant at the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs from 2009 to 2011 and was Farrell project director at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Justice from 2008 to 2009. She was assistant deputy director at the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs’ Program Operations Division from 2002 to 2008 and acting assistant deputy director from 2000 to 2002. Delgado was assistant district director at the California Conservation Corps from 1978 to 1992. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
