COMPTON, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Assemblymember Warren Furutani announced his endorsement of Assemblymember Isadore Hall today. Hall is running for reelection in California’s newly created 64th Assembly District. Furutani announced yesterday that he would not seek reelection to the State Assembly.

“I’ve known and worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Assemblyman Hall for many years and I am convinced that he is by far the best candidate for California’s new 64th Assembly seat,” said Assemblymember Warren Furutani. “He’s proven himself as a champion for job creation, fixing our schools, and ensuring funding for public safety so that we can keep our neighborhood safe. That’s why I’m pleased to throw my full support behind his re-election efforts.”

Hall is a former two-term President of the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees. He was elected to the Compton City Council in 2003 where he served in various leadership positions including Mayor pro Tempore. Hall was elected to the California State Assembly in 2008 and served as Assistant Speaker pro Tempore during his first term. He currently serves as a member of the Appropriations, Elections and Redistricting and Human Services Committees. He chairs the Assembly Committee on Government Organization.
