Ca. Gov. Schwarzenegger Appoints Poli Flores Jr. to Imperial County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO /California Newswire/ — Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Poli Flores Jr. to a judgeship in the Imperial County Superior Court. Flores, 54, of Calexico, has served as a court commissioner for the Imperial County Superior Court since 2006. Previously, he was a sole practitioner from 1986 to 2006 and a deputy public defender for Imperial County from 1983 to 1986.
Flores was an associate at Cardenas and Fifield from 1982 to 1983. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Flores fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Annie M. Gutierrez. Flores is a Democrat.
The compensation for this position is $178,789.
