N.Y. ‘Family Friendly Employment Policy’ Award for Jon A. Dorf

MAMARONECK, N.Y. — On Wednesday June 11, 2008, Jon A. Dorf, founder of The Dorf Law Firm, LLP, proudly collected the 2008 “Family Friendly Employment Policy” Award. Presented by the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, this award honors and recognizes Jon’s commitment for creating and instilling countless family friendly employment policies within The Dorf Law Firm, LLP.

Jon noted, “I am most honored to receive this meaningful Family Friendly Employment Policy Award. We should always remember that family comes first and that the team is only as effective as the members on it. By affording individuals the opportunity to enjoy their family, it results in a win-win situation for both the employer and the employee.”

Jon was just recently presented with prestigious 2008 “Pace Setter” Award. This award, presented by Westchester County Business Journal, honored Jon’s overall excellence in professional and community work, prominence in the Westchester legal profession, and fierce determination and success at being the best at what he does.

Jon is a proactive member of the community. Highly involved with The Business Council of Westchester, Jon serves as its General Counsel, he also serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Jon is also a member of the Executive Board of Directors for the Westchester County Bar Association. He is personally involved with many community events, fundraisers, charitable organization and educational programs.

Jon established The Dorf Law Firm, LLP in 1997. With offices in Mamaroneck and Manhattan, Jon and his team serve many successful companies, entrepreneurs, business families and individuals as both legal counsel and trusted advisor.

The “Family Friendly Employment Pace Setter” award was presented to Jon at the Westchester Women’s Bar Association Annual Dinner at The Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club, Mamaroneck, NY on Wednesday June 11, 2008. Founded in 1974, the WWBA is one of the largest chapters of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (“WBASNY”). Currently there are more than 600 members.
